Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) was founded in 1945. With small aircraft MAF began work in Mexico, Sudan, and Papua New Guinea as a way to reach isolated communities. With growing need MAF expanded, adding aircraft throughout Africa, Central and South America, and Asia Pacific.

Today, with over +60 years in operation and more than 130 aircraft, in over 35 countries of the world, MAF has become the largest humanitarian aviation operation in the world.

Within Bangladesh MAF has been in service for over the past 17 years, serving over 115 NGO’s, flying 750 flights a year, and transporting over 2,500 relief, development, medical workers annually, into areas where they are needed most to help the people of Bangladesh.
