Northern Bangladesh Shuttle Flights

MAF operates a Cessna Caravan 8-passenger turbine float plane that can land and take off on water, enabling fast and efficient access to remote locations in Bangladesh.

Our regular shuttle flights provide a regular service for aid agency staff needing to travel to their project sites.

To assist aid agencies working in the northern region of Bangladesh along the Jamuna River, MAF provides a twice weekly shared charter flight. NGO staff can either be dropped off or picked up at the following locations:

  • Sirajganj Town, Sirajganj
  • Sariakandi, Bogra
  • Jabalpur, Jamalpur
  • Dewanganj, Jamalpur
  • Gaibandha, Gaibandha
  • Chilmari, Kurigram
  • Kurigram, Kurigram

Details:

Days of Operation:
Sundays – departs at 1:00pm from Dhaka Int’l (domestic terminal), returns by 4:00pm to Dhaka
Wednesdays – departs at 09:00am from Dhaka Int’l (domestic terminal), returns by 12:00pm to Dhaka
Eligibility:
This flight is for registered humanitarian and medical organizations, governments, NGOs, donors and agencies involved in development projects.
Cost:
The cost per seat one-way is 4,600 taka.
Booking procedure:
Seats are booked on a first come/first served basis. Due to regulatory procedures, flight bookings must be made at least three working days before the date of the flight.
Baggage:
Each passenger may to carry up to 9 KG of personal baggage.
Charter flights:
As a reminder, our existing charter flights are always available to those wishing to travel at a specific time and schedule to a particular project site.

Disclaimer: Occasionally MAF has to cancel or delay flights due to unscheduled maintenance, unavailability of pilot (e.g. due to illness) or weather. In such cases MAF will do all that is reasonably possible to reschedule the flight. Full refunds will be provided to passengers for flights that are cancelled by MAF. No refund will be provided to passengers who cancel a booking.
